Regina Caeli

Ohhh, it's been way too long since my last post and I'm feeling, well, guilty.  So I'll start back simply, the best way I know how. Hiding behind our Queen of Heaven's apron strings :-)   Here is a majestic version of Regina Caeli which is one of my favorite chant antiphons. It is translated below for you non-latin types. (I can relate).  Listen to the reverb.  You can almost hear the natural harmonies bouncing off those ancient walls as the antiphon repeats. Glorious. If I ever make it to heaven, I think this is the music that accompanies us on the stairway.  (Thinking of you, Sheila as I know you love this as much as I do!)

Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia.
For He whom you did merit to bear, alleluia.
Has risen, as he said, alleluia.
Pray for us to God, alleluia.
